Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Chalet Le Pery.
1. Bookings, Deposit and Payment
All bookings require a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the booking cost (or £50 per person, whichever is the higher) at the time of booking. If the booking is made within 8 weeks of departure date, the full holiday cost is payable immediately. We will send confirmation of your reservation and information about your holiday along with our booking form and request for a deposit. Bookings will be held for 7 days while we await the arrival of your deposit. In the case of all parties or groups comprising more than one individual the client who confirms the booking will be liable for all persons in the party both in terms of payment and ensuring compliance with these terms and conditions. In the case of individual bookings the confirmer is responsible. The final balance of the booking is due 8 weeks prior to departure. If payments are not made within the above schedules bookings will be treated as cancellations and any deposits received will not be refunded.
Chalet Le Pery guarantees the price of the holiday as quoted at the time of the booking and reserves the right to increase or decrease the price of any unsold holidays at anytime. Your holiday price does not include:
- The cost of your holiday travel
- Travel insurance
- Lift pass, equipment hire and lessons
- Room supplements for reduced occupancy
- Lunches or snacks outside of the inclusive breakfast, high tea and evening meal. No food preparation is allowed on the premises, lunches and snacks can be purchased from nearby establishments.
There is a 2% handling fee if your holiday is paid for by credit card. Payment will be taken in Euros at the rate of exchange on the date payment is made.
3. Alteration of a holiday by a client
Should you wish to change your booking dates Chalet Le Pery will endeavour to accommodate the changes subject to any differences in price and availability, but cannot guarantee that changes can be made. Notification of alterations must be received from the person who signed the booking form or who made the original booking. Any alteration by you within 3 weeks of your arrival will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and will be subject to the cancellation charges set out below.
4. Cancellation of a holiday by a client
Cancellation shall take effect only when Chalet Le Pery receives written confirmation from the person who signed the booking form or who made the original booking. As this incurs administrative costs, Chalet Le Pery will retain your deposit and in addition apply cancellation charges shown below:
8 weeks or more Deposit only
5 weeks - 8 weeks 50% of the total booking
3 weeks - 5 weeks 80% of the total booking
Less than 3 weeks 100% of the total booking
If a member of your party wishes to cancel this may mean the chalet is under occupied and result in other members having to pay any applicable supplements to retain the booking.
5. Alteration of a holiday by Chalet Le Pery
In the unlikely event there has to be an alteration to your booking by Chalet Le Pery we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you one of the following options:
1. To accept the new arrangements; or
2. To cancel your holiday and receive a full refund.
We will not be liable for refunding any expenses which have been incurred as a result of the booking.
6. Behaviour and Damages
Whilst on holiday with us all clients are expected to act and behave in such a manner as not to threaten the condition of the chalet or disturb the enjoyment of other guests, local residents and suppliers or have a negative effect on the reputation of Chalet Le Pery. If you cause any damage to the chalet fittings, equipment or any loss of contents or equipment then you will be liable for the cost of repair or replacement. If your behaviour or that of any member of your party seriously impairs the enjoyment of any other guest or local resident we reserve the right to refuse to further accommodate the individual(s) and forfeit the holiday cost and deposit.
Chalet Le Pery will not be liable to any client for any loss or damages incurred by any client as a result of:
- Any event or circumstance which could have been avoided if the client had taken reasonable care.
- Any circumstance or event which Chalet Le Pery or its suppliers could not have foreseen or prevented even with all due care and attention.
- Circumstances out of the reasonable control of Chalet Le Pery such as strikes, wars, civil or political unrest, quarantine restrictions, terrorism, government actions, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, including lack of snow, injury or illness to staff thus reducing the level of service.
- Injury, illness or death due to any activity, including skiing or snowboarding on or off piste, at any time during your holiday, except where such injury or death is caused by the negligence or fraud of Chalet Le Pery.
- Loss of, theft of or damage to any of your belongings at any time of your holiday, whether within the chalet, in the neighbourhood or on the piste or otherwise.
- Injury, illness or death associated with the consumption of any food or drink we may supply except where such illness, injury or death is caused by the wilful negligence or fraud of Chalet Le Pery or its directors.
Chalet Le Pery accepts your holiday booking on the understanding that you recognise the hazards involved on a winter sports holiday. No claim pertaining to death or injuries sustained in participation of said activities will be entertained nor liability accepted by Chalet Le Pery. In addition, Chalet Le Pery cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience or discomfort due to factors out of their control especially those associated with mountain environments - for example extreme weather conditions or lack of snow.
9. Limitation of Liability
In all cases where Chalet Le Pery arrange lessons, equipment rental or any other activity for their clients, the contract is between the supplier of the service and the client and is not part of the Chalet Le Pery contract. No liability will be accepted by Chalet Le Pery for any event circumstance or injury caused while these services/activities are being provided or there is any dispute concerning costs.
Everyone booking a holiday with us MUST be adequately insured. If on arrival, you are found to have insufficient cover you will be obliged to purchase a suitable policy in resort.
11. Smoking Policy
For the comfort of our guests Chalet Le Pery operates a strict no smoking policy in all vehicles and inside the chalet. If clients wish to smoke they must do so outside of these areas. Anyone found to have breached this rule will have their holiday terminated immediately without compensation.
12. Company Vehicles and Transfer Services
Clients travel in company vehicles entirely at their own risk.
Airport Transfer - We operate one minibus service only. This is a gratuitous service and constitutes no part of the holiday price and is available on our Saturday changeover only. If you arrive/depart on incompatible flights to other guests you may incur a wait at the airport. Flights arriving/departing before 09:30 or after 16:00 may not be able to be accommodated and you may incur an airport transfer charge. Due to transport regulations, for parties over 8 some airport transfers may be outsourced to a third party transport company. The airport transfer is not available for short stay holidays.
Daily shuttle service - the daily shuttle service is provided in the morning between 08:30 and 10:00 and in the evening between 16:00 - 18:00. We will try our utmost to accommodate any requests for drop off/pick up outside of these hours but cannot guarantee our immediate availability.
13. Arrival/Departure Times
Your room in the chalet will be available after 4:00p.m on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00a.m on the date of departure. Storage facilities will be available in the chalet, if required.
14. Outdoor Shoes
Outdoor shoes are strictly forbidden inside the chalet, complimentary slippers are provided for use inside the chalet.
15. Hot Tub
Children under the age of 11 are not permitted in the Hot Tub under any circumstances. Children between the age of 11 and 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Use of the Hot Tub should be limited to 15 minutes due to Health and Safety regulations. The Hot Tub cannot be used between the hours of 10:30p.m and 09:30a.m to allow cleansing agents to take effect.
16. Photographic or Media Materials
You agree that any photographs or videos can be used on our public website or social media sites.
17. Complaints and Problems
In the unlikely event that you have any complaint or problem you should notify the chalet staff immediately. Until we know about a complaint or problem we cannot begin to resolve it, most can be dealt with quickly. If you remain dissatisfied you must write to us within 28 days of your return to your home country giving details of your complaint. We regret we do not accept any liability in relation to any complaint or claim which is not notified in accordance with this clause.
18. Website Accuracy
All information regarding accommodation, prices and services is correct to the best of our knowledge. However, clients should be aware that information is liable to change from time to time. If the information given is inadvertently incorrect this will not be accepted as a cause for a compensation claim.
All Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with French Law. The parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of the French courts at all times.
